Cortex Plastic is the first factory to manufacture synthetic plastic rattan with Polypropylene (PP) and food grade pigments in Taiwan. Our choice of materials makes Cortex fiber an environmentally friendly, non toxic and recyclable alternative. Cortex fiber is offered in various sizes and is made only with natural grains, giving it a natural and smooth feeling while keeping it scratch free and water resistant. It can withstand temperatures from -20 °C to 120 °C, is flexible but still strong, easy to wash and mildew free.

CORTEX FIBER® passes food safety inspections and regulations in several different nations.
Our product is safe to come into direct contact with food and is practical for food safe environments. Our baskets have many different shapes and sizes that are all woven with plastic rattan to create a natural looking, water resistant basket.

The PP baskets is suitable for household and business purposes.

1. Business: bread display basket in bakery, cutlery basket for restaurant, laundry basket and storage basket for hotels.
2. Retail market: storage basket, laundry basket, and trash can. It is exceptionally good for use in the bathroom, or any high moisture and moldy places due to its water resistant and anti-mold properties.

Through our companies research and development, the Polypropylene (PP) basket has natural properties of the synthetic rattan and bamboo. It is water resistant, easy to clean and environmentally friendly. It is an appealing yet durable material which has made Cortex fiber an innovative and competitive product.
